Job summary

Buyers Edge Platform is hiring a DevOps Engineer to design and build tooling that reduces complexity and boosts developer productivity. You will help improve CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and containerize applications to improve deployments and resilience.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to streamline workflows, scale infrastructure, and implement security benchmarking while supporting on-site operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in a DevOps position.
• 3 years’ experience in Software Engineering.
• 2 years’ experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience running Kubernetes / EKS in production environments.
• Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, or Go (Go is preferred).
• Familiarity with CI tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitLab.
• Experience with configuration management tools: Ansible, Puppet and Chef.
• Strong knowledge of orchestrators such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficient with Git and version control.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and APM.
• Experience with MySQL, Amazon Aurora, and Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve CI/CD pipeline tools for multiple software products.
• Collaborate with development teams to align goals and deliverables.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Develop infrastructure as code and tooling for development environments.
• Containerize applications to improve deployments and resilience.
• Work with development and QA teams to streamline workflows.
• Ensure infrastructure scales dynamically and recovers from disasters.
• Respond promptly to service issues and requests.
• Demonstrate understanding of security benchmarking.
• Manage development resources and access controls; occasional after-hours work.
• Develop internal tooling to improve operational efficiency and self-service.
