Job summary

Buyers Edge Platform is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance reliability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence for hosted infrastructure and internal apps powering the business.

You will partner with development and QA teams to streamline workflows, containerize deployments, and implement infrastructure as code for scalable environments. Strong AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Security or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience in a DevOps position.
• 3 years’ experience in Software Engineering.
• 2 years’ experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience running Kubernetes / EKS in production environments.
• Competent at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or GoLang.
• Familiarity with CI tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and GitLab.
• Professional experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet and Chef.
• Strong knowledge with an orchestrator tool such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.

• Experience with monitoring tools, APM, Logging and Infrastructure.
• Brief Experience working with MySQL, Amazon Aurora, and Redshift.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve CI/CD pipeline tools for development teams.
• Build relationships with development teams to progress toward goals.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Implement infrastructure as code and deploy infrastructure for dev environments.
• Containerize applications to improve deployments and resilience.
• Collaborate with development and QA to streamline workflows.
• Ensure infrastructure can scale and recover from disasters.
• Respond promptly to service issues and requests.
• Understand security benchmarking practices.
• Manage development resources and access controls.
• Occasional after-hours work.
• Develop internal tooling to improve ops efficiency.
