Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies is seeking an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for advanced radar systems at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. You will work with software, hardware, and systems engineers to automate the software delivery lifecycle.

The role emphasizes containerization, Python automation, and collaboration within a security-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field; multiple pathways with 2–9+ years of experience.
• Master's degree in a related field with 0–7+ years of experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent with 6–13+ years of experience.
• Proven DevOps/SRE experience.
• Strong GitLab CI/CD experience.
• Hands-on containerization with Podman and/or Kubernetes.
• Python scripting as a core skill.
• Familiarity with C/C++ build processes.
• Experience with Linux or RTOS.
• Understanding of infrastructure as code and automation.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for radar systems.
• Automate build, test, and deployment across environments.
• Manage containerization and infrastructure tooling (Podman/Kubernetes).
• Write clean automation scripts in Python.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to streamline development.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CI/CD infrastructure; maintain documentation.
• Configure and version-control all codebase components.
