Job summary

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a DevOps Engineer (CI/CD) to support a mission-critical, large-scale system serving the Federal Government in the healthcare domain.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in CI/CD tools and practices, build systems (Gradle), AWS, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Linux operations. The role focuses on creating automated CI/CD pipelines, toolchain maintenance, governance, and collaboration with development teams to ensure secure, scalable deployments across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of direct experience with CI/CD processes and toolchain (Jenkins, Groovy).
• 2+ years of direct experience with RedHat Ansible.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux operations, including scripting (bash, Python).
• Experience with build systems (Gradle) and JVM-based development platforms (Scala).
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code via terraform.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of the team.
