Job summary

Cogent People Inc. is seeking a DevSecOps Automation Engineer to support a mission-critical, large-scale Federal Government healthcare system. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CI/CD tools, configuration management with Ansible, and Linux operations.

This role requires creating and maintaining automated CI processes and pipelines, developing governance for CI/CD, and supporting deployment, source control, and multi-environment configurations on AWS, with collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of direct experience with RedHat Ansible.
• 2+ years of direct experience with Jenkins and CI/CD processes and toolchain.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS.
• 2+ years of experience with Linux operations, including scripting.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality and accurate work.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Location: Remote/Hybrid if local to Maryland (MON & WED in the office)
