DevOps Engineer Remote
Blu Omega is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a federal public health program. This role operates within a remote environment and is responsible for supporting CI/CD pipeline development, automation, and cloud infrastructure management. The position requires experience supporting DevOps, cloud environments, and automation within a mission-driven, government setting.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary technical resource for teams requiring support with CI/CD workflows, responding to requests, troubleshooting pipeline issues, and maintaining pipelines.
- Build, optimize, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Manage and monitor GitHub Actions runners and workflows.
- Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to prioritize and resolve technical backlog items.
- Implement technical interfaces and integrations between CI/CD services and enterprise systems.
- Maintain AWS serverless infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code best practices.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts and lightweight automation tools for operational tasks.
- Ensure CI/CD environments are current, secure, reliable, and efficient through proactive updates and issue resolution.
- Collaborate to implement DevSecOps best practices for reliability and automation.
- Explore, document, and test AI-assisted tools to enhance development and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and increased deployment reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Support or deployment experience with AWS serverless architectures and services.
- Strong Python development skills with capability to develop scripts and automation tools independently.
- Practical experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or automation technologies.
- Knowledge of modern DevSecOps practices, source control, and cloud infrastructure management.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Atlanta, GA.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
