Job summary

Oddball is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the CMS team supporting a federal Medicare program. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, provision infrastructure with Terraform, and manage AWS services like ECS, Fargate, EC2, S3, and RDS Aurora PostgreSQL.

You will collaborate with architecture and development teams, work in a remote Agile setup, and help adopt AI engineering platforms such as Bedrock and Gemini. Bachelor’s degree required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS and core cloud infra management.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infra provisioning and env management.
• Experience with ECS and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with Argo Workflows is a plus.
• Security engineering experience (FISMA, FedRAMP, or ATO) is a plus.

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our CMS team, supporting a federal program that directly impacts the Medicare experience for millions of Americans.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines including automated scanning, testing, and deployment workflows
• Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform with emphasis on reusable modules and secure configuration baselines
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure including ECS , Fargate , EC2 , S3 , RDS Aurora PostgreSQL , and Secrets Manager
• Work with Kubernetes and containerized environments including Argo Workflows
• Support enterprise adoption of AI engineering platforms including Amazon Bedrock , GitHub Copilot , Gemini , and Cursor
• Partner with Architecture and Development teams to implement reliable, scalable infrastructure patterns
• Build internal tooling to support development and operational workflows

What you'll bring:

• Hands-on experience with AWS and core cloud infrastructure management

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins

• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and environment management

• Experience with ECS and containerized deployments

• Familiarity with Argo Workflows is a plus

• Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team

• Communicates clearly and openly, whether documenting infrastructure decisions or coordinating with engineering teams
