Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose: You will be a part of Levi’s Enterprise Cloud Services organization which engineers, implements, and manages the technology required to run a cloud-based technology across the enterprise.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about applying cloud technologies and DevOps practices to solving business problems in a unique and innovative way and to help accelerate our digital business transformation.

As a member of the Enterprise Cloud Services organization, you will be part of an established but growing DevOps team that is focused on designing and delivering cloud solutions to support business requirements.

Key Results:

  • Responsible for managing the Enterprise DevOps Toolchain
  • Responsible for designing and implementing DevOps pipelines
  • Develops and maintains service capacity forecasts, responsible for the day-to-day capacity and proactive management of services.
  • Proactively monitors cloud-based service offerings as they move through development, continuous integration, and pre-production, in addition to production itself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of prior experience in developing automation with DevOps tools for IT infrastructure such as: network, server, hypervisor, IaaS, etc.
  • 3+ years successfully designing and implementing successful DevOps solutions in a multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Private Cloud, etc).
  • 3+ years managing DevOps tools such as: Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, etc.
  • Create, maintain and automate DevOps pipelines; Continuously improve automated build, test and deployment workflows.
  • Design and implement service catalog and service enablement automation, DevOps automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelining, automated delivery models (blue-green, canary, etc.), tagging frameworks and best practices.
  • Explore and evaluate new technologies and solutions to push our capabilities forward, getting ahead of our business needs, getting people incentivized to transform, innovate and continually improve.
  • Ensure the quality and performance of the platform through fully automated functional and performance testing.
  • Ensure deployment framework is tightly integrated across all workstreams and follows standard processes.
  • Support production and development systems in a constantly evolving environment of integrated systems; responsible for training other employees on tools.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation and requirements related to DevOps technologies.

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in technology field

Technical Certifications: Public Cloud Certification(s), DevOps tools certification highly preferred.

Years and Type of Experience Required:

  • Expert experience implementing and supporting two or more of the following toolsets: Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, XL Release, Artifactory, GitHub, Continuum.
  • Must have experience being an engineer or architect.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience creating automation within at least one public Cloud.
  • Experience designing DevOps pipelines and architecture.
  • Experience developing automation for on-premises infrastructure.
  • Experience consulting with business process and functional unit owners.
  • Basic knowledge of querying and organizing data.
  • Very strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Motivated, result-oriented self-starter, curious and inquisitive.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Prepare and present findings, recommendations, reports, spreadsheets, new operating models, and new workflows to all levels of leadership.
  • Creates methodology to measure process performance against established metrics.
  • Maintain knowledge and proficiency of best practices in Business Process Re-engineering (BPR).
  • Fundamental knowledge of managing hybrid cloud environments, private and public clouds.
  • DevOps Product set including: Ansible, Jenkins and Terraform.
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile, ITIL.
  • Knowledge of Operating Systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI a plus.

Complexity and Accountability:

  • Self-managed and motivated individual with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to perform basic project manager functions.
  • Must have experience with creating reports with Excel Pivot tables and spreadsheets; PowerBI a plus.
  • Business professional who can communicate with nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Must be willing to accept advice from other team members and stakeholders.
  • Must be flexible to change and understand that the end-result is the required aim.
  • Must be able to acquire new skills rapidly and leverage them to implement automation.
  • Must possess the ability to manage cross-function team initiatives.

Key partners & Interaction:

  • Internal: Technology Teams, HR, Corporate Communications, Brands, Retail.
  • External (if applicable): Managed Services partners, Hardware vendors, Software vendors.

Scope: Global responsibility.

Additional Information:

On call rotation with other team members for 7x24 production systems support.

This position can work remotely anywhere within Mexico.

LOCATION: Remote - Mexico

FULL TIME/PART TIME: Full time
