Job summary

eTeam is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work remotely in the United Kingdom. You will implement and optimize AWS-based infrastructure, focusing on EC2, VPC, Route53, and IAM, while driving secure CI/CD pipelines with GitLab and modern GitOps practices.

The role requires SC & NPPV3 clearance and involves on-call support for high-priority incidents, plus hands-on work with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and ArgoCD to automate provisioning and deployments.

Qualifications

• SC & NPPV3 clearance required.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Route53, VPC, ELB, RDS) and IAM.
• Proficient in GitLab CI/CD pipelines and security testing (SCA/SAST/DAST).
• Terraform for IAM, networking and resource provisioning.
• Configuration management with Ansible for cloud infra and apps.
• Experience with Docker containers, EKS and GitOps (ArgoCD).
• On-call support for priority incidents when required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on CICD development for containerised apps on EC2 and EKS.
• Build and maintain GitLab pipelines and security tooling.
• Write Terraform modules for cloud infrastructure and controls.
• Manage Ansible playbooks for configuration orchestration.
• Maintain on-prem and cloud tools (Artifactory/Xray) as needed.
• Develop scripts to automate platform tasks and deployments.
• Provide on-call coverage for Priority 1 and 2 incidents.

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote

Pay Rate: £626 to 760 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Clearance required: SC & NPPV3

Job Description:

Supporting and advising on AWS cloud implementation with specific attention to EC2, Route53, VPC, VPCE/Private Links, ELB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS, Control Tower

• Hands-on implementation of working with GitLab CICD pipelines and shifting left security (SCA, SAST, DAST)
• Implement application CICD pipelines for containerised applications both using Docker Compose on EC2 and EKS using ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps operator
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Configuration orchestration using Ansible
• Support of jFrog Artifactory & Xray self-managed instances
• Work to maintain GitLab on-premises server and fleet of GitLab Runners using different executors
• Writing scripts to deliver/work with our platforms, such as developing Docker/Terraform/Ansible files for a variety of systems/frameworks.
• Resource to support out-of-hours ‘On-Call’ Service for Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents
