Job summary

undisclosed is seeking a remote DevOps/Cloud Engineer on a contract basis to support AWS cloud implementation and secure CI/CD pipelines. The role involves working on EC2, Route53, VPC, and RDS, with a focus on private links, IAM, and Control Tower.

You will implement containerised applications on EC2 and EKS using ArgoCD or similar GitOps tooling, and manage IaC with Terraform and configuration with Ansible. Active SC and NPPV3 clearance are required.

Qualifications

• AWS cloud implementation experience
• CI/CD experience with GitLab
• Infrastructure as Code experience
• Experience with containerised apps (Docker, Kubernetes)
• SRE/DevOps practices experience
• Security testing (SCA/SAST/DAST) understanding

Responsibilities

• Support and advise on AWS cloud implementation focusing on EC2, Route53, VPC, VPCE/Private Links, ELB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS
• Hands-on CI/CD implementation for Docker-Compose on EC2 and EKS with ArgoCD or GitOps
• Create and manage Terraform IaC
• Configuration orchestration using Ansible
• Support of jFrog Artifactory & Xray on-premises
• Maintain GitLab on-premises and runners
• Develop scripts (Docker/Terraform/Ansible) for various platforms
• Out-of-hours on-call support for Priority 1 and 2 incidents

Job description

Duration: contract to run until 31/10/2027

Location: Remote

Rate: up to £736 p/d Umbrellainside IR35

Clearance required: Active SC and NPPV3 clearance is required

• Supporting and advising on AWS cloud implementation with specific attention to EC2, Route53, VPC, VPCE/Private Links, ELB, Secrets Manager, IAM, RDS, Control Tower
• Hands on implementation of working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and shifting left security (SCA, SAST, DAST)
• Implement application CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications both using Docker-Compose on EC2 and EKS using ArgoCD or equivalent GitOps operator
• Infrastructure As Code using Terraform
• Configuration orchestration using Ansible
• Support of jFrog Artifactory & Xray self-managed instances
• Work to maintain GitLab on-premises server and fleet of GitLab Runners using different executors
• Writing scripts to deliver/work with our platforms, such as developing Docker/Terraform/Ansible files for a variety of systems/frameworks.
• Resource to support Out of hours 'On-Call' Service for Priority 1 and Priority 2 Incidents
