Job summary

Intrepid Control Systems seeks a DevOps Engineer to automate deployment, manage scalability, and support production systems across cloud and on-prem stacks. You will work with Node.js and Java, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD to ship applications and resolve incidents.

The role requires 7+ years of cloud software engineering or operations, strong scripting skills, and experience with Terraform, Ansible, and cloud providers (AWS/GCP). Hybrid work from our Troy HQ is offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud software engineering and/or operations.
• Experience with scripting and automation in Bash, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Git version control platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, or similar.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing performance and reliability problems in production systems.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Linux systems.
• Experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience with application performance monitoring (APM); Nagios and Grafana preferred.
• Familiar with current industry best practices for security, including SDLC processes and methodologies.

About the Role

The DevOps Engineer at Intrepid Control Systems will automate service deployment, management, and scaling, help ship new applications, and debug production issues across application and system layers with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Node.js and Java development and deployment, strong Linux skills, Docker and Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, GCP and AWS.

Salary Description

$130,000 - $150,000 Annually
