About The Role
About The Role The role owns the infrastructure that keeps production systems running at scale - CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, observability stacks, and the cloud architecture underneath it all.
You will work closely with software engineering teams to make deployments fast, releases safe, and incidents rare - and when something breaks at 2 AM, you will be part of a team that finds root causes instead of band‑aids.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP using Terraform, treating everything as versioned, reviewable code
- Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters in production, including node optimization, autoscaling policies, and multi-environment cluster management
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD) to enable fast, safe deployments with automated rollback capabilities
- Implement observability across the stack using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry - dashboards, SLOs, and actionable alerting that pages on real problems, not noise
- Lead incident response and blameless postmortems; drive elimination of recurring failure modes through automation and architectural fixes
- Harden infrastructure security: IAM policies, secrets management (Vault), network segmentation, and compliance with SOC 2 requirements
- Partner with application engineers on containerization, service mesh configuration, and performance tuning of latency-sensitive services
What We Are Looking For
- 3–7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, with at least one environment serving significant production traffic
- Deep hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes and Docker in production - debugging crashed pods is second nature
- Strong infrastructure‑as‑code experience with Terraform (or Pulumi) and CI/CD pipeline design
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, TLS, load balancing, VPC design, and service-to-service communication
- Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and cost‑optimization practices
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
