DevOps Engineer - 64210

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a DevOps Engineer to work on a remote basis.

Responsibilities

Our Impact:

• Build and enhance software applications for mandatory reporting of Freddie Mac’s mortgage loan data to the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
• Partner with Product and Business teams to develop and release high-quality products.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Stakeholders, Operations, and Business Product teams to specify and refine solutions.
• Promote a DevOps culture to ensure high quality, continuous operations, and support, meeting service level metrics and customer requirements.
• Modernize Freddie Mac’s 5000+ customers by enabling small, incremental releases to production at 5x pace.

Your Impact:

• Design, develop, and test automation solutions in data engineering using Agile practices.
• Work with partners to solidify solution design, contribute to design sessions, and outline solution paths.
• Utilize Groovy, Python, Java, AWS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and support deployment to EKS and OpenShift.
• Support applications, fix production defects, and implement enhancements.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Helm, Istio, and source code management tools like Bitbucket and JFrog Artifactory.
• Work with tools like Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, and others for ecosystem management.
• Understand SDLC, build CI/CD pipelines, and practice TDD.
• Explore new technologies, perform proof-of-concepts, and conduct research.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product delivery.
• Estimate effort, learn new technologies quickly, and support production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree or relevant experience.
• 5+ years in SDLC solutions, Groovy scripting, Python, and Data Engineering.
• Experience with SQL, Unix, AWS, and Java.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Interest in expanding cloud technology expertise.
