Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and automation solutions supporting CI/CD processes. The role collaborates with development teams to automate deployments, maintain secure, scalable environments, and drive efficiency across operations.

Responsibilities include building automated deployment scripts, CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, and managing Linux/Windows Server environments, Docker, and Kubernetes. A DoD TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification.
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Proficiency with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible scripting.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing configuration management using Ansible.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Nutanix cloud platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Scrum Master certification is a plus.

  • Administer Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Implement configuration management using Ansible.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and infrastructure automation.

Job description

Job Summary The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure while developing automation solutions that support software deployment, system administration, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. The role works closely with development teams to automate infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and maintain secure, scalable cloud environments.

  • Experience with VMware, Nutanix, or Red Hat OpenStack.
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows Server environments.
  • Proficiency with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible scripting.

  • Experience implementing configuration management using Ansible.
