Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is looking for a highly motivated DevOps Engineer located in Chantilly, Virginia. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable infrastructure, with expertise in cloud technologies and CI/CD. Key responsibilities include designing and managing deployment pipelines, automating infrastructure using IaC tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance and reliability. A Bachelor’s degree and active TS/SCI with Polygraph are required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates).

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in building, automating, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, with a passion for improving system reliability and performance.

What will you do?

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable application deployments
• Build and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch
• Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to streamline release processes
• Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Troubleshoot system issues across environments and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational policies
• Optimize cost, performance, and scalability of cloud environments

Do you have what it takes?
