This hybrid, full-time role emphasizes automating infrastructure, strengthening CI/CD, and enhancing observability while supporting AI-powered deployment practices.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of DevOps or Platform Engineering experience.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong background managing AWS infrastructure at scale.
  • On-call availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy secure, scalable AWS infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments.
  • Build, automate, and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Improve reliability, observability, and cost efficiency through platform and architectural enhancements.
  • Advance CI/CD capabilities, including AI-enabled automation, for rapid, secure software delivery.
  • Strengthen monitoring, logging, tracing, and proactive incident detection.
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, technical docs, and architecture reviews.
  • Drive consistency across teams by standardizing DevOps tools and processes.

Job description

DevOps Engineer

A fast growing entertainment company is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their Media Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling difficult problems, shaping architectural decisions, and developing resilient, maintainable solutions at scale. This is a full-time hybrid role with offices located in downtown Chicago.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in modernizing and scaling infrastructure across cloud and on-premises platforms. Working closely with engineering and product teams, you'll drive automation initiatives, enhance operational excellence, and help scale a cloud-first, AI-powered DevOps platform.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering, with 2–5 years supporting and scaling cloud infrastructure environments
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong background in managing AWS cloud infrastructure at scale across multiple environments
  • On-call availability, including weekends and holidays as needed

Daily Responsibilities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to architect and deploy secure, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure
  • Build, automate, and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Enhance system reliability, observability, and cost efficiency through continuous platform and architecture improvements
  • Advance CI/CD capabilities, including AI-enabled automation, to support fast, reliable, and secure software delivery
  • Strengthen operational visibility through monitoring, logging, tracing, and proactive incident detection
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, technical documentation, and architectural design reviews
  • Drive consistency across teams by standardizing DevOps tools, processes, and platform best practices
