Job summary

Matlen Silver is seeking a senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, resilient applications across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role emphasizes Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD automation, and IaC, with a focus on cost efficiency and performance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI-powered development tools, monitor cloud infrastructure, and ensure secure, compliant software delivery pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Git, and Splunk.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift architecture and deployment.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps/CI-CD tools: Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Git.
• Strong Java/J2EE development and enterprise application support.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP).
• Proficiency with Eclipse, Splunk, and related engineering tools.
• Experience with code quality tools: SonarQube and Crucible.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps and continuous delivery practices.
• Automation and IaC for cloud provisioning and operations.

Job description

• Proven experience in Kubernetes and OpenShift container platforms, including architecture, configuration, deployment, administration, troubleshooting, and end-to-end environment setup.
• Experience working with Microsoft Copilot, AI Agents, Generative AI solutions, or similar AI-powered development and productivity platforms.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Ansible, Jenkins, Git, and related automation frameworks.
• Strong development experience in Java/J2EE technologies, including designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with development and monitoring tools such as Eclipse, Splunk, and similar software engineering toolsets.
• Experience with code quality, code review, and static analysis tools such as SonarQube, Crucible, and related platforms.
• Thorough understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience monitoring, tuning, and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions for cloud provisioning, deployment, and operational management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
