Job summary

Themesoft Inc. in Burlington, MA (or nearby Durham, NC or Irving, TX) seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer with 6-9 years of progressive leadership.

You will design and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, deploy Python REST APIs with Flask or FastAPI, and ensure robust CI/CD with Jenkins. Expertise in AWS services, Unix/Linux, scripting (Python, Bash, Groovy), Docker and Kubernetes, and monitoring with Datadog are essential.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of DevOps experience with progressive growth and leadership.
• Deep AWS experience (EC2, S3, EKS/ECS, Lambda, IAM) and CloudFormation.
• Experience developing Python REST APIs with Flask or FastAPI.
• Unix/Linux expert with strong scripting in Python and Bash; Groovy preferred.
• Experience with SQL integration and a wide range of CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes knowledge; Datadog monitoring experience.

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, demonstrating progressive growth and leadership in previous roles.
• Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, ECS, Lambda, IAM, etc.) and extensive experience with CloudFormation.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining Python REST APIs using frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.
• Expert-level proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Mastery of scripting languages: Python (must-have), Bash (must-have), and Groovy (highly preferred).
• Experience with SQL, demonstrating the ability to integrate diverse technologies.
• Proven experience with a wide range of CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
