Sr. DataOps Engineer(Hadoop/Cloudera) | FinTech | Hybrid - Phoenix, Chicago, NYC, or SF

This team builds and supports the core data platforms behind fraud detection, real-time payments, and large-scale analytics. They're looking for a Sr. DevOps / DataOps Engineer to help modernize and maintain a critical big data ecosystem - with a focus on Hadoop, Cloudera, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation.

This is not your typical application-focused DevOps role - it's for engineers who thrive in large-scale distributed data environments (i.e. DataOps / MLOps). You'll work on automating infrastructure, optimizing CI/CD for data services, and supporting containerized deployments for both on-prem and hybrid cloud platforms.

?? What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure-as-code for Hadoop-based platforms

• Supporting and automating CI/CD pipelines for big data tools and NoSQL stores (e.g., HBase, SOLR, Redshift)

• Collaborating across engineering, data, and architecture teams to optimize infrastructure performance and security

• Working with config management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to streamline provisioning

• Supporting hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments - especially AWS

• Participating in on-call rotations and troubleshooting production issues tied to data infrastructure

? What We're Looking For

• 7+ years in DataOps, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Big Data Engineering, or SRE roles

• Deep hands-on experience with Hadoop or Cloudera

• Strong scripting and automation chops (Linux, Bash, Python)

• Experience with config management and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc.)

• Comfort with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure

• Bonus: Experience with NoSQL databases (HBase, Aerospike, SOLR), PCI/SOC compliance environments, or securing big data platforms
