Job summary

Intone Inc is seeking an experienced DevOps Architect for a 6-month contract in Dallas, TX. You will design and modernize scalable cloud infrastructure, implement CI/CD automation, and drive DevSecOps practices across enterprise platforms.

Lead Terraform/CloudFormation IaC, Kubernetes, and containerization solutions, while guiding teams toward reliable deployments and robust security controls.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Strong experience with AWS; Azure or GCP experience is a plus.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Git, artifact repositories, and automated release management.
  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Elastic, Splunk, Datadog, or similar observability platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, networking, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale, highly available and resilient platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement DevOps and cloud architecture strategies across enterprise applications and platforms.
  • Design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and standardize CI/CD pipelines for application deployment and automated testing.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
  • Establish containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability using tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/Elastic, Splunk, or Datadog.
  • Integrate security into the development and deployment lifecycle through DevSecOps practices.
  • Establish standards for source control, branching strategies, artifact management, release management, and deployment automation.
  • Work with application and engineering teams to improve deployment reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to DevOps engineers and development teams.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve platform reliability.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, availability, and performance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex production and infrastructure issues and provide architectural solutions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect for a 6-month contract position based in Dallas, Texas (hybrid/onsite). In this role, you will design, implement, and modernize highly scalable, secure, and reliable cloud and application infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and application teams to establish DevOps best practices, improve CI/CD automation, and support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

    • Experience with Kafka/event-driven architectures.
    • Experience implementing SRE practices, SLIs/SLOs, monitoring, and incident management.
    • Experience working with cybersecurity teams on cloud security and compliance.
