Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs is seeking a device repair technician to repair cell phones, tablets, and other electronics, and to help launch the device repair function in-store. You will work within the Batteries Plus retail environment and support device repair initiatives.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, strong technical aptitude, excellent communication, and the ability to train other staff while handling devices and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum HS diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong customer service focus.
• Ability to inform, teach, and train store associates.
• Regular use of hands to handle electronic products and operate a computer.
• Lifting 10–20 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally, more than 50 lbs infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed.
• Receive, pack and ship devices.
• Develop procedures and training videos for device repair activities.
• Maintain proper inventory of devices and parts.
• Participate in formal training of store associates (tearing down devices, photos, training videos).
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE.
