Description

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking an experienced Device Registered Nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Cardiology team.

Work Hours/Shift

• Full-time
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Provide services for the Atrial Fibrillation program, including care coordination for patients with atrial fibrillation and cryptogenic stroke, identified via RN evaluation referrals. Promote referrals from providers during hospital admission. Address the needs of high-risk patients during discharge and post-admission in outpatient settings.
• Conduct pre-admission assessments, including labs, patient screening, medication reconciliation, patient education, and surgical instructions for upcoming procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred; MSN or Nurse Navigator certification preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Connecticut.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Skills

• Specialty certification. 3-4 years of clinical or hospital experience, preferably in cardiac or telemetry monitoring. Proficient in EKG interpretation. Telephonic assessment experience is a plus. A-Fib or electrophysiology experience highly preferred.
