Techable in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a dedicated on-site full-time inspector/tester to prepare Apple and PC devices for resale. You will inspect, test, and document hardware, verify models and configurations, and keep inventory records up to date.

You’ll work with a team that values accuracy and clear communication, learn the inspection process in 30 days, and contribute improvement ideas as you grow with the role.

Qualifications

• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable using computers and following written procedures
• Careful with details and honest when uncertain or when a mistake occurs
• Able to work independently and perform repetitive tasks accurately
• Experience with Macs or PCs or IT support is helpful

Responsabilités

• Inspect incoming computers and electronics
• Confirm model, specifications, serial number, and configuration
• Test displays, keyboards, trackpads, cameras, speakers, ports, batteries, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other hardware
• Identify cosmetic and functional problems
• Photograph and document defects
• Install or restore operating systems
• Update internal inventory records
• Escalate unusual issues
• Keep the work area organized
