Description

Our Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive experience in our industry, allowing them to work on real projects, collaborate with professionals, and develop their skills. We select a limited number of interns each year for personalized attention and meaningful engagement. BlueHalo has opportunities for Student Research Assistants to support research on the fabrication and characterization of robust electronics at the Materials & Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) in Dayton, Ohio.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work in a class-100 clean room environment using advanced thin film deposition and lithography tools to optimize fabrication processes of novel microelectronic devices.
  • Evaluate material quality and suitability for device performance using techniques such as AFM and XRD.
  • Perform electronic transport experiments, including DC I-V measurements and ferroelectric switching via PUND, to assess material and device performance.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the position.
  • Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework and laboratory experience in device fabrication, characterization, and microelectronics are preferred.
