Job summary

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, AK seeks a Developmental Therapist III to provide early intervention services to children aged 0-3 in the YK Delta. The role works independently in evaluation, reporting and IFSP development, and collaborates with families and school staff.

Responsibilities include eligibility testing, development assessments, report writing, and transition planning, with occasional travel and supervision duties.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field with certification or licensure, and completion of the Part C Credential.
• Relevant fields include Applied Behavior Analysis, child development and related disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood or preschool for birth–3; knowledge of developmental testing.
• Part C Credential; SEED Level 11 credential to be completed online within 6 months; renewal requirements noted.
• Occasional travel and collaboration with ILP team, Napartet, school staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility testing and developmental assessments with documentation.
• Develop and implement IFSPs and transition plans for infants/toddlers.
• Coordinate family contact, follow-up, and parent education; lead play groups.
• Collaborate with ILP and other professionals; provide supervision as needed.
• Maintain administrative tasks using MS Word/Excel for records.

This position functions independently in evaluation, reporting and interventions for infants and toddlers in the region. This position is responsible for administering eligibility testing, developmental assessments, report writing, development and implementation of the IFSP, and for all transition services. This position organizes family contact, family follow-up, play groups and other service involvement such as school special education teachers and Head Start educators. This position is a member of the ILP team and supports Napartet with value added ideas, patient centered excellence, and ILP standards of excellence. Other administrative tasks will be incorporated into the daily work flow. Screening tools targeting developmental and social-emotional delay e.g., IDA2 and ELAP or other evaluation tools as appropriate.Specialized Knowledge and Skills : Training in Neuro-developmental treatment, Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, Language Instruction, specialized strategies and trainings, leading play groups. Training in Infant Mental Health and Trauma based care desired.Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise a DTI and/or DTII.
