Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Kongiganak seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and coordinate village-based services to access community resources.

You will collaborate with the Traditional Council to ensure safety and well-being, meeting regularly with the individual and family to promote self-sufficiency and everyday independence in a rural Alaskan setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Alaska driver's license preferred.
• Experience in special education, child/family health and development preferred.
• One year experience with consumers with special needs preferred; AA degree encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services to assigned individual with developmental disabilities.
