Job summary

State of North Carolina - Health & Human Services is seeking a Health Care Technician II (S) at Caswell Developmental Center. You will support residents’ physical and emotional well-being, implement training plans, assist with daily living skills, and accompany individuals to activities and appointments.

You will document client progress, work as part of a team, and participate in safeguarding residents during emergencies. A valid NC driver’s license is preferred and a sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of approved behavioral intervention programs.
• Experience with documenting client progress and behaviors.
• Ability to communicate clearly with families and team members.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of assigned individuals.
• Assist with habilitation and training plans, daily living skills, and safety.
• Provide personal care, transportation to activities, classes, and appointments.
• Assist in classroom and training areas and in housekeeping as needed.
• Document notes on client progress and behaviors; maintain records accurately.
• Support in emergency treatment and medication administration when required.
