Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services in Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts is seeking a Developmental Specialist to provide direct care and case management for a caseload in Day Habilitation services. This is a non-exempt position.

You will teach developmental skills, document progress, support participants with daily living activities, and collaborate with staff to implement Service Plans. A High School Diploma or GED is required, CPR/First Aid certifications preferred, and a valid MA driver\'s

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and assist with mobility.
• CPR and First Aid certifications maintained.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Day Habitation Service Plans with measurable goals.
• Teach developmental skills to increase independent functioning (ADLs, self-care, self-advocacy).
• Lead group activities and supervise direct care staff to meet program needs.
• Document participant activities and progress notes by the 15th of each following month.
• Provide supportive counseling and respond to medical/health concerns as needed.
