Job summary

Kennedy-Donovan Center (KDC) is hiring a Developmental Specialist to work with infants and toddlers and their families across Massachusetts. The role offers full- and part-time schedules with a flexible 8 am–4 pm window and travel to homes and community settings.

The position emphasizes family-centered, evidence-based practices and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, providing essential EI services and documentation support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 300 hours working with children under the age of 5.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, including occasional evenings.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other required documentation software.
  • CPR/First Aid Certified (or ability to obtain certification within designated timeframe).
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct developmental assessments and evaluations.
  • Partner with families to develop and implement IFSP goals.
  • Provide home, community, and group-based Early Intervention services.
  • Coach and empower caregivers to support their child's development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with EI standards.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development.
