Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time developmental learning classroom in Melrose, MA. This contract role covers 37.5 hours per week, with a focus on inclusive, student-centered instruction and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include designing differentiated instruction, implementing IEPs, and monitoring progress while engaging in ongoing professional development to support students’ growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
• Experience or strong interest in a developmental learning classroom
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Design and adapt instruction to meet individual goals of students in the developmental learning classroom
• Implement IEPs and provide differentiated instruction using evidence-based strategies
• Assess student progress and communicate results with families and team members
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to support students’ needs
• Create a safe, nurturing, and encouraging classroom culture
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices in special education
