Job summary

Walmart is hiring a Developmental Technician specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance in Queensbury, NY. You will support stores by performing inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance under supervision while adhering to safety guidelines and schedules.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in varying temperatures, and hold EPA refrigerant handling certification. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs.
• Can move up and down ladders frequently.
• Comfortable working at heights frequently.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
• Able to work in various temperatures.
• Must maintain an excellent driving record.
• HOLD EPA refrigerant handling certification (Universal or Type I/II).
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.
• Option 1: 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 2 years Walmart store experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Read and speak English as required.

Responsibilities

• All primary responsibilities under supervision of an experienced technician.
• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize work order system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
