Job summary

Beatrice State Developmental Center seeks Developmental Technician I/II to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes day-to-day care, documenting plans, assisting with personal hygiene, and participating in an interdisciplinary team to promote safety and growth.

New colleagues join a shift pattern transitioning to a 4-day, 10-hour workweek with day/evening/overnight options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension).
• Completion of a state approved medication aide course and ability to be registered.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Document treatment plans, activities, and adverse reactions.
• Administer medications and participate in interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Ensure safety and sanitary conditions; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Accompany individuals on community activities and medical appointments.
