Our Developmental-Behavioral Pediatricians participate in both independent and multi-disciplinary evaluations to formulate diagnostic impressions and provide comprehensive treatment plans. The Mayo Clinic Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Program has a multi-specialty team who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats children with complex developmental and behavioral disorders. The collaboration of the interdisciplinary team assures quality and patient-centered care for children and their families. The interdisciplinary team draws from Mayo Clinic’s world-renowned healthcare providers, including specialists from Neuropsychology, Child Psychiatry, General Pediatrics, Genetics, Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sleep Medicine, Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Audiology, as well as dedicated Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics nurses and social workers.
This position provides excellent teaching opportunities with our General Pediatrics residents, our fellows in Child Psychiatry, Mayo Clinic medical students, and with our interdisciplinary team members. This position also allows for one-of-a-kind research opportunities in clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory-based research. Candidates for this position must be board-certified/board-eligible Developmental Behavioral Pediatricians with fellowship training in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics. Candidates must possess a Minnesota license (or be able to obtain prior to start). Academic rank at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine will be granted commensurate with experience. Candidates should also have a strong interest in joining an academic practice. Candidates with a strong interest and experience in working with children with autism and associated neurodevelopmental delays are preferred.
