Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Developmental Adaptive Physical Education (DAPE) Teacher for Blaine, MN. This in-person, full-time role supports two middle schools and requires a Minnesota DAPE license.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Related Field.
• Active Minnesota DAPE license through PELSB (Tier 3 or 4).
• Previous experience working in the classroom setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized adapted physical education (APE) goals aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Plan and teach modified physical activities that improve motor skills, coordination, strength, and fitness.
• Adapt equipment, games, and instruction so students can safely and successfully participate.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to support students’ physical development and inclusion.
• Monitor student progress, documents outcomes, and adjusts instruction to help students meet their goals.
