The Development Test Engineer Job is responsible for evaluating, comparing, and improving the performance of gasoline engine aftertreatment systems to meet or exceed regulatory standards, optimize efficiency, and support product development. This engineer will also be responsible for developing and integrating system technologies including engine hardware, exhaust sensors, control strategies, calibration, and the integration of these technologies into the propulsion system to meet upcoming emissions standards (e.g., TIER4, California LEV IV, EURO7, China 7, etc.) for future vehicle propulsion applications for electrified vehicles. Projects will utilize engine, powertrain, or vehicle chassis dynamometers and/or simulation/modeling to make physics-based decisions and demonstrate proof-of-concept solutions to prove Propulsion functional objectives are satisfied. The engineer will act as both an individual contributor and as part of teams within and outside of the Emissions and Aftertreatment group, both internal and external to the company. The engineer will interact with core engine, controls, regulatory, and supplier teams as part of a globally integrated Emissions and Aftertreatment group within the larger Propulsion Calibration Group.
