When you join Caterpillar, you’re joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don’t just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

About Cat Financial

Cat Financial is a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, off-highway diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. For more than 40 years, Cat Financial has provided a wide range of financing solutions to customers and Cat® dealers for machines, engines, Solar® gas turbines, genuine Cat parts and services. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Cat Financial serves customers globally with offices and subsidiaries located throughout North and South America, Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa. Visit cat.com to learn more about Cat Financial.

Team Mission

Give Cat Financial one governed platform where work moves from idea to delivery, and where AI agents and automation take on the repetitive work so our people can focus on decisions. Artemis is Caterpillar Financial’s IT delivery platform, supporting work from demand intake through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The platform provides common workflows, milestones, and tools that help teams work more consistently, efficiently, and effectively across the delivery lifecycle. Artemis is also a key enabler of Cat Financial’s AI transformation strategy, embedding AI‑powered capabilities into the way teams plan, deliver, and support technology solutions.

About the Role

Lead the Artemis platform and a global team responsible for its continued growth and success across Caterpillar Financial. This role combines strategic leadership, technology delivery, and operational excellence, translating business priorities into scalable solutions while partnering with stakeholders across IT and the business. The Team Leader will drive process improvements, standardize delivery practices, advance AI-enabled capabilities, and build an operating model that enables teams to deliver efficiently, manage risk effectively, and create greater business value. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity to influence how technology is delivered, foster innovation, and help shape the future of digital transformation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Artemis roadmap and backlog: prioritize demand, define outcomes, and sequence releases that deliver measurable, cost‑effective business value
  • Lead delivery with a global team of developers and engineers, removing blockers and keeping work flowing from refinement to production
  • Standardize how work moves through the delivery lifecycle, with common workflows, milestones, and tools that improve consistency and visibility across teams
  • Define how AI and automation are applied within the delivery process, including where they fit, how they are evaluated, and the guardrails that govern them
  • Establish and run the Artemis operating model: governance, development standards, release and change management, and audit‑ready controls (SOX, IT risk, security reviews)
  • Own the testing and quality strategy for the platform and lead the team in executing it: test planning, automation, regression, defect resolution, and business validation during pilots
  • Work with shared security teams to ensure cybersecurity standards and policies are built into platform design, delivery, and support
  • Partner with business stakeholders, architecture, security, and engineering: translate needs into clear requirements and trade‑offs, make timely decisions, and document the reasoning
  • Work within shared vendor management processes so contractor work is delivered on time and to quality standards
  • Identify, communicate, and manage delivery, technical, and compliance risks; elevate early with options
  • Drive adoption across Cat Financial through demos, training, feedback loops, and usage measurement, and report progress, risks, and value to leadership
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of experience leading delivery of a software product or platform, as a product owner, delivery lead, technical program lead, or similar
  • Hands‑on experience defining and running software testing strategies, including test planning, test automation, regression testing, defect management, and user acceptance testing
  • Hands‑on familiarity with modern web application stacks (React, APIs, cloud services such as AWS), enough to engage credibly with engineers and challenge designs
  • Working knowledge of generative AI and how to apply it responsibly within software delivery
  • Comfort making decisions under ambiguity: you gather input, weigh the risks, choose a path, and adjust as you learn
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to say "not yet" and explain why
  • A track record of improving delivery processes and standardizing ways of working across teams
  • Experience with Agile delivery and backlog tools (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • A track record of balancing speed with quality, security, and control requirements, working within shared security and vendor management processes
  • Top candidates will have Experience applying AI or automation to software delivery in production (for example AI‑assisted development, testing, or workflow automation)
  • Experience building test automation frameworks or QA practices for a team or platform
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries (SOX, audit, IT risk)
  • Experience with integration patterns across enterprise systems (for example Snowflake, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience establishing development standards, release management, or platform governance
  • Experience leading global or distributed teams, including contractor resources
Degree Requirement
