Job summary

Town of Holly Springs seeks a Development Review Engineer to oversee, manage and provide technical guidance during preliminary plan and construction drawing review to ensure compliance with Town standards and ordinances.

The position reports to the Development Services Manager - Engineering and may supervise Development Plan Reviewers. The role requires leadership in delivering quality development reviews and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, or a related field and six (6) years’ progressively responsible engineering and construction experience inclusive of Municipal engineering experience.
• Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
• Review experience with civil engineering projects, including municipal utilities, transportation, stormwater and land disturbance.

Responsibilities

• Lead development plan reviews for utilities and transportation.
• Supervise staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate meetings with developers and design professionals.
• Provide technical guidance and quality control throughout project phases.
• Prepare engineering reports for management decisions.
