RTX is seeking a Program Operations Manager (POM) to coordinate with SMCs, factories, and cross-functional teams on development programs in Tucson, AZ. You will guide sequencing of operations, align with design, and influence producibility and affordability.

This onsite role interfaces PMO, functional leaders, and operations, owning EAC and budget, and supporting gate reviews, production transition, and security considerations. Will require travel and extended hours.

Qualifications

  • Degree in production/manufacturing or related field required.
  • 10+ years experience in manufacturing/ops; 7+ with advanced degree.
  • Experience with PRISM or similar inventory systems.
  • Knowledge of risk and opportunity management and CAM certification.
  • Experience maintaining schedules in cross-functional environments.
  • Leadership in fast-paced manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program and functional managers to support process-focused factories.
  • Be accountable for factory integration and program performance.
  • Act as Operations point of contact for proposal development.
  • Coordinate and develop operations requirements for gate reviews.
  • Own the program's EAC and budget.
  • Present program status at Monthly Management Reviews.
  • Direct support of manufacturing activities on site.
  • Travel domestically and work across buildings; support NPIs.

Raytheon is seeking a Program Operations Manager (POM), Development position to be located onsite at the Raytheon Technologies (RTX) Tucson, Arizona airport. The POM is responsible for communicating all program requirements to the Strategic Make Centers (SMCs-factories) and manufacturing sites. They will provide guidance on sequence of operations to help ensure that commitments can be met by working across all Operations and Program teams. The candidate chosen shall be embedded within a development program, and will work alongside the design team, influencing hardware producibility and affordability.

This role is the primary interface between the Program Management Office (PMO), Functional leaders, and Operations factory leadership for all the SMCs. They are responsible for strategic Program/Operations planning for current production performance and future Program production and development efforts. In addition, it may be necessary to support OPSEC plan(s) execution as well as influence future security strategies. The successful candidate will communicate across programs as necessary, to identify, collaborate and resolve issues with contractual deliveries and program requirements.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead, collaborate and influence program and functional managers to support the process focused factories driving quality and performance for product deliveries.
  • Be accountable for factory integration, consolidated program performance, and unique program requirements flow down to the factories as well as contractual performance to the customer (MOCAS).
  • Be Operations point of contact for proposal development and approval to ensure proposed costs or challenges are understood by Operations leadership and factories.
  • Coordinate and develop operations requirements for all gate reviews and execute proposed strategies from early gate reviews for implementation in future production.
  • Ownership of the Program's Operations EAC and budget.
  • Present information for Monthly Management Reviews to summarize program status and any on-going production or development Operations issues.
  • Direct support of manufacturing activities and spend significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
  • Work beyond the typical 40-hour workweek, travel domestically and move between buildings and local facilities.
  • Support execution of a program through the development and transition to production phases of a program's lifecycle. Familiarization in New Product Integration (NPI), Transition To Production (TTP), and proposal support activities are preferred.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree preferably in Production, or Manufacturing or related field and minimum 10 years or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Experience working within a Manufacturing, Operations, Production or a similar environment working with PRISM or similar inventory system.
  • Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management and Certified Account Manager (CAM) certification
  • Experience managing support plans, completing basis of estimates (BOEs), and/or maintaining schedules in cross-functional, matrixed environment
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience participating in development program proposal process and familiarization in schedule development and status (MPS, IMP, and IMS)
  • Experience leading collaboratively with other managers in a results-oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes
  • Previous leadership position in a fast paced technical or manufacturing environment that included multiple workin
