Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) is seeking a Development Manager to drive an organization-wide culture of philanthropy. This role reports to the CEO and supports Executive Directors in coordinating fundraising efforts, donor engagement, and reporting.

The person will manage calendars, deadlines, donor communications, and grant processes to advance BACR’s mission. The role emphasizes operational excellence, collaboration with leadership, and growing BACR’s fundraising function across

Qualifications

• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of grants management, funder research, proposal development, and reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain stewardship/calendar for grants, deadlines, donor touchpoints, campaigns, and events.
• Track fundraising commitments and provide timely reminders to leadership.
• Schedule and coordinate donor, funder, and prospect meetings for the CEO and Directors.
• Prepare agendas, briefing materials, funder research summaries, and follow-up notes.
• Draft grant proposals, letters of inquiry, applications, and funder reports with finance team.
• Develop boilerplate language, program descriptions, budgets, and attachments for proposals.
• Maintain Salesforce donor database and generate revenue reports for leadership.
