Job summary

Vanderbilt University seeks a Development Coordinator to support the School of Medicine and Medicine Basic Sciences within DAR. Based in Nashville, this role provides operational and logistical support across communications, events, travel, donor reporting and team activities.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years experience in development or higher education, strong organizational skills, and a professional, discreet approach.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree, or the equivalent is necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Experience within development and/or higher education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Donor Communications & Stewardship: produce and edit stewardship pieces, run reports, manage communications.
  • Event & Meeting Coordination: assist internal and external events, schedule meetings, manage logistics.
  • Administrative & Budget Support: calendaring, expense reporting, procurement, budget management, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Data & Reporting: maintain fundraising databases, generate data reports and dashboards, ensure data quality.
