Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals, LLC is seeking a system administrator to manage SIGINT survey and geo-location systems. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, testing, and integration of complex networks and lab environments.

Strong Linux, scripting, and cloud skills are required. Candidates should have Kubernetes, cluster orchestration, and containerization experience within the last three years, plus DoD 8570-compliant certs (Security+ and CCNA) and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or CS; four years experience may substitute for degree.
• MS in Engineering or CS may substitute for two years’ experience.
• Recent Kubernetes experience (within last 3 years).
• Recent cluster orchestration experience (within last 3 years).
• Recent containerization experience (within last 3 years).
• Be available for 24/7 on-call support for operational systems.
• Willing to travel for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Poly Date within the last seven years.
• Active IAT II CWIP/DoD 8570 compliant cert (Security+) and CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration of SIGINT survey and geo-location systems.
• Design, deploy, test, and maintain networks; connect front-end and back-end components.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting; scripting in Python and Bash.
• Build and maintain pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab; use IaC with Ansible or Terraform.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and travel for installations and troubleshooting.

Job description

Responsible for system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration of VLP/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/Wireless SIGINT survey, collection and geo-location systems and software to include prototypes, development, operational testing, test, and labs systems and products.

Experience with:

• Performing network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks
• LAN/CAN/WAN administration
• Experience with both Arista and Cisco network devices
• Configuring and optimizing the network to connect various front-end and back-end components
• Designing solutions, integrating, configuring, deploying, testing and providing ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices
• Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Experience building and maintaining pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible or Terraform.

Twelve (12) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps

Recent experience within the last three (3) years in Kubernetes.

Willing to travel for information system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
