Job summary

VTG Defense in Fort Meade, Maryland is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support mission-focused customers in developing and maintaining RF processing systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with RF systems, data management, and system design capabilities.

Active certification (IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant) is required, along with skills in creating engineering drawings and diagramming.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of production Nifi for operational data flow.
• Experience with system design capabilities for stakeholder explanation.

Responsibilities

Overview

VTG is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This position will support a mission-focused customer developing, deploying, and maintaining RF processing systems.

What will you do?

• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems with understanding of analog to digital dataflow and conversion processes
• Access production Nifi and ensure that inbound data is operational/flowing correctly.
• Data management requests (DMRs) and change (DCRs) submissions.
• Preliminary system design with capability to explain system design to stakeholders
• Coordinate any data samples needed.
• Prior experience with requesting IPs be added to System Security Plans
• Ensure there are no backlogs/errors of data. Assist customers with data formatting issues.
• Experience with creating and updating engineering and RF antenna drawings and network diagrams
• Capable of creating dataflow diagrams documenting the network connections required for system functionality
• Experience with Confluence/Jira used for communication and documentation
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+) REQUIRED
