Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage SIGINT survey, collection, and geo-location software across prototype, development, and lab environments.

Responsibilities include installation, upgrades, test, integration, and ongoing maintenance. Candidates should have strong Linux admin skills, Kubernetes experience, and on-call readiness, with travel as needed to install and troubleshoot information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
• Substitutions: 4 years' experience for a Bachelor's; 2 years for MS; 2 years for MS for CS/Eng.
• Recent experience (within 3 years) with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Experience with Linux server admin, DevSecOps, and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• System administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, testing and integration of SIGINT survey and geo-location systems.
• Design, deploy, configure and support lab and development environments.
• Maintain pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab and implement IaC with Ansible or Terraform.
• Be on-call 24/7 and travel for installations and troubleshooting.

Job description

Responsible for system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration of VLP/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/Wireless SIGINT survey, collection and geo-location systems and software to include prototypes, development, operational testing, test, and labs systems and products.

Experience With

• Performing network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks
• LAN/CAN/WAN administration
• Experience with both Arista and Cisco network devices
• Configuring and optimizing the network to connect various front-end and back-end components
• Designing solutions, integrating, configuring, deploying, testing and providing ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices
• Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Experience building and maintaining pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible or Terraform.
• "Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science. May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree. May substitute two years' experience with MS in Engineering or CS
• Twelve (12) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps
• May substitute two (2) years of experience with Masters of Science in Engineering or Computer Science
• May substitute four (4) years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
• Recent experience within the last three (3) years in Kubernetes.
• Recent experience within the last three (3) years in cluster orchestration.
• Recent experience within the last three (3) years containerization.
• Be available for 24/7 call-in support for operational system critical discrepancies
• Willing to travel for information system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Poly Date within the last seven (7) years
• Active IAT II CWIP / DoD 8570 compliant cert (i.e., Security+) AND CCNA certification
