Akina Inc seeks a Development Operations Engineer 2 to oversee Kubernetes, Linux, and Python-driven systems for advanced SIGINT prototypes and lab environments. You will design, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud/networked platforms with Arista/Cisco devices, automation via Ansible/Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps.

Description:

Responsible for system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, test, integration, and configuration of VLP/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/Wireless SIGINT survey, collection, and geo-location systems and software for prototypes, development, operational testing, test, and lab systems/products.

Perform network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing LAN/CAN/WAN networks.

Administer and support Arista and Cisco network devices.

Configure and optimize the network to connect front-end and back-end components.

Design solutions; integrate, configure, deploy, test, and maintain network devices.

Provide Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting.

Use Python and Bash scripting.

Build and maintain pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab.

Use Ansible or Terraform for infrastructure as code.

Support Docker and Kubernetes for software deployment.

Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

Monitor hybrid cloud/virtualized environments.

Travel for information system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Performing network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks LAN/CAN/WAN administration.
• Experience with both Arista and Cisco network devices.
• Configuring and optimizing the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.
• Designing solutions, integrating, configuring, deploying, testing and providing ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices.
• Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
• Experience building and maintaining pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Ansible or Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for software deployment.
• Manage and configure Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Experience with management and monitoring of hybrid cloud/virtualized environments.

Position Required Skills:

• Recent experience within the last three (3) years in Kubernetes.
• Recent experience within the last three (3) years in cluster orchestration.
• Recent experience within the last three (3) years containerization.
• Be available for 24/7 call-in support for operational system critical discrepancies.

DEVOPS2 Qualifications:

Eight (8) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system admin, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.

May substitute four years' experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

May substitute two years' experience with MS in Engineering or CS.

Salary Range: $218k-$267k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
