Position Summary
The Development Associate will provide support for fundraising initiatives to include RENXT database management assistance, special events, and day-to-day operations for the Development Department, while reinforcing organizational culture. This includes serving as a primary front-line fundraiser to engage and introduce the organization to new individual donors, corporations and foundations to receive philanthropic support.
The Development Associate is responsible for supporting the development team in its efforts of cultivating and maintaining social investors to significantly impact the overall success of Pressley Ridge. This position requires the ability to assist and act in a confidential capacity, communicate well with tact, and project a professional image always with all levels of internal personnel, corporate Board of Directors, and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Requires a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
Experience:
Requires one (1) year experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in non-profit, development, fundraising or related environment.
Experience working within a development department is preferred.
Experience with Development database systems preferred.
Clearances Required by Applicable Regulations:
State Police
FBI
Child Abuse Clearances
Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training certificate and/or statement.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands: This position requires operating a keypad device 50% of the day and electronic/office equipment 30% of the day. Travel is required approximately 5 times per month and works in weather conditions about 20% of the day. Fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, upper back, legs and feet are all routinely used 25% of the day. Employees must meet minimum requirements for hearing, speech, and vision. Walking is required 20% of the day. Standing occurs 30% of the day. Sitting happens 50% of the day. This function routinely lifts under 10 pounds. Mental Demands: Occasionally handles distractions that interfere, makes quick decisions and handles diversity of problems.
Frequently needs to concentrate and perform multiple tasks.

Working Hours: Typical office hours. Occasional evenings and weekends to support development events.
Bachelors or better.
1-2 years: Experience in professional fundraising including knowledge of Annual Giving, Campaigns, Foundation/ Corporate solicitations, Individual Giving and Special Events
