The City of Fayetteville is currently recruiting for a Development Ombudsman Manager to help the development community, city management, and all elected officials of the City to understand the full scope of regulatory impacts of all development within an urban area. Offer guidance and support to development applicants for new projects and re-development projects, assist all permitting and approval agencies with resolving issues, both while in design and during the development of properties within the City of Fayetteville.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Five years of experience as a public sector planning director, planning manager or related field and/or served in permit entitlement work or similar activities in the private sector.
Training:
Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, leadership, development, planning, or management. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Required: None.
Preferred: American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4 - 6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background check and driving check.
