The Efshar Project is a Colorado-based nonprofit seeking a Development & Marketing Intern to support communications, fundraising, events, and digital content. You will work closely with the Director of Development & Marketing to turn strategy into compelling materials, campaigns, and donor outreach while contributing to real projects that advance Efshar’s growth.
An ideal candidate will be organized, creative, and eager to learn, with interest in nonprofit management, storytelling, and community
Supervisor: Director of Development & Marketing
Term: November 2026 – April 2027
Hours: Approximately 5 hours/week
Compensation: $2,500 for six months ($1,250 at the halfway mark and $1,250 at the end)
The Efshar Project is a Colorado-based nonprofit working to strengthen and expand Jewish early childhood education (ECE) so that more children and families can access high-quality, welcoming early learning experiences.
Efshar partners with Jewish early childhood programs, educators, school leaders, families, and community organizations across Colorado to build stronger schools, support the early childhood workforce, engage families, and expand access to Jewish early childhood education.
Efshar is a growing organization with a statewide vision and a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture. As we continue to expand our reach and impact, strong storytelling, thoughtful communications, effective fundraising, and meaningful community engagement are increasingly important to our work.
The Development & Marketing Intern will work closely with Efshar’s Director of Development & Marketing to provide hands‑on support with communications, fundraising, events, and digital content.
This internship is designed for a college student interested in gaining practical experience while contributing meaningfully to a growing nonprofit organization. The Director of Development & Marketing will set strategy, messaging, and fundraising priorities, while the intern will help turn those priorities into well‑executed communications, materials, data, and events.
Because this is a small organization, the intern will have the opportunity to see how nonprofit marketing and development work together and to contribute to real projects that support Efshar’s growth.
We are looking for a creative, organized, curious, and dependable college student who is excited to learn and contribute to a growing nonprofit.
An ideal candidate will have:
Experience with graphic design, photography, video editing, social media, website content management, or fundraising is a plus but not required.
Undergraduate and graduate students studying communications, marketing, graphic design, public relations, nonprofit management, business, education, Jewish studies, or related fields are especially encouraged to apply.
This internship is designed to provide meaningful professional experience. The intern will work directly with Efshar’s Director of Development & Marketing, contribute to real organizational projects, and have opportunities to build a portfolio of work.
The intern will gain exposure to:
Most importantly, the intern will help tell the story of Efshar’s impact and contribute to work that is strengthening Jewish early childhood education for children, families, educators, and communities across Colorado.
Term: November 2026 – April 2027
Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible around the student’s academic commitments. Some weeks may involve fewer hours, while additional hours may be available surrounding major events or campaigns.
Compensation: $2,500 for six months
Work Location: Primarily remote. Colorado-based candidates are strongly preferred because the intern will have opportunities to participate in Efshar events, school visits, and other in‑person activities in the Denver/Boulder metro area.
Supervisor: Director of Development & Marketing
