Forestar Group Inc. is seeking a Development Manager to lead project schedules, adhere to development budgets, and assist with due diligence on prospective investments.

The role involves coordinating a multi‑disciplinary team, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely approvals from government and utility partners. The ideal candidate has a four‑year degree and 5–7 years of related experience, with a vehicle and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four‑year college or university.
• Five to seven years of related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, high precarious places and risk of electrical shock.

Responsibilities

• Assist with due diligence on prospective projects, including budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Coordinate and direct a team of consultants during construction.
• Create and maintain project schedules and report status.
• Create bid packages and analyze bids for award of work.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders regarding price and schedule.
• Interface with government and utility partners to keep projects on schedule.
• Review invoices and pay applications for assigned projects.
