Job summary

Forestar Group Inc. is seeking a Development Manager in Greensboro to oversee project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company objectives. The role includes coordinating consultants, evaluating plans, and managing approvals through to project handover.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 5–7 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel to projects will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
• Five to seven years of related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and site environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with due diligence on prospective projects, including budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate and direct a team of consultants during construction.
• Create and maintain project schedules and report status to Development Director.
• Prepare bid packages and review bids for award decisions.
• Negotiate contracts and change orders with vendors.
• Interface with utilities, government, and Forestar teams throughout project.
• Manage platting and final approval processes and track budget performance.
• Lead design, permitting, bid and award processes for project amenities.
• Conduct site inspections, startups and turnovers as required.
