Job summary

The United Nations Foundation seeks a Development Manager to drive fundraising for the U.S. Climate Alliance. Based in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule and potential remote work across the contiguous U.S., the role focuses on growing contributed revenue and forging strong philanthropic partnerships.

You will manage grant proposals, budgets, and reporting, while coordinating across Secretariat teams to meet annual fundraising goals and expand our funder network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate professional experience in a relevant field.
• 4–7 years nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Success securing major or mid-level grants preferred.
• Familiarity with climate and clean energy philanthropic organizations.
• Experience crafting persuasive content for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and submission of grant proposals across foundations.
• Track funder deadlines and produce progress reports.
• Identify and cultivate prospective funders aligned with Alliance goals.
• Coordinate funder meetings and develop briefing materials.
• Maintain CRM data in Salesforce and oversee fundraising plans.
